Cookie policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a site can store on your device. They serve to recognize your browser, remember preferences or measure usage. Under Spanish and EU law (LSSI-CE Art. 22 and ePrivacy), certain cookies require your explicit prior consent.

2. What hotend uses

2.1 localStorage

hotend uses browser localStorage (NOT a cookie, not transmitted) to remember your language preference (ES/EN). This is considered strictly necessary functionality and does NOT require prior consent.

2.2 Cookieless analytics

Our analytics is a first-party counter that installs NO cookies, uses no identifiers, and neither stores nor reads anything on your device. It records aggregated daily totals per page: views, reading seconds and scroll depth, landing page and referring site (referrer domain), page-to-page navigation within the Site, device class (mobile, tablet or desktop), browser language, hour of day, clicks on external links, and loading-speed metrics (Core Web Vitals).

Everything is stored only as daily sums (e.g. "page X was read for a total of Y seconds on day Z"). There are no individual records, we do not store your IP address, and nobody — including us — can reconstruct any one person's browsing.

2.3 First-party cookies

The Site does not set any first-party cookies. Our own analytics are aggregated and cookieless.

2.4 Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

hotend shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads and, if you consent to personalisation, to tailor them to your interests.

2.5 Cookies we do NOT use

No Google Analytics. No first-party ad-tracking cookies (Meta Pixel etc.). No social network cookies.

3. How to manage cookies

You can configure your browser to accept, refuse or delete cookies any time. See: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
