What Phrozen's range looks like
We hold 2 models from Phrozen with verified specs: all resin machines. Of those, 2 enclosed.
The range starts at the Sonic Mini 8K S (€349) and tops out with the Sonic Mega 8K (€1,579), at the manufacturer's MSRP.
The models we track span 2022 to 2023; this page lists what we have been able to verify against official sources, not the brand's full history.
What to know about Phrozen
Phrozen is a specialist: it only makes resin printers, and from Taiwan it won over the miniatures community by being among the first to push screen resolution while the rest of the market lagged. The Sonic Mini and Sonic Mighty are fixtures on miniature painters' desks and in dental labs.
That specialisation is its strength — high resolution and detail-focused machines — and also its limit: there is no FDM in its catalogue, and its distribution and support in Europe are thinner than Elegoo's or Anycubic's, which compete at the same table with more pricing muscle.
Who is it for? Miniature and fine-detail printers who put resolution first. Remember resin demands post-processing (washing and curing) and ventilation whatever the brand; if that puts you off, modern FDM prints increasingly respectable miniatures.
A couple of practical notes: Phrozen runs an open policy on resins — its machines work well with third-party resin, and the community maintains per-resin, per-model parameter tables that save a lot of trial and error. And as with all MSLA, the LCD screen is a consumable you will eventually replace: check the spare's price and availability for your model before buying.
