What to know about Elegoo

Elegoo made its name in resin: the Mars and Saturn lines were for years the default buy for miniatures and scale modelling, delivering more resolution per euro than anyone. On that base it has grown into FDM with the Neptune line and, more recently, into higher-end enclosed CoreXY machines.

The recipe is consistent: aggressive pricing and generous specs for the money. In exchange, support runs on tickets and forums (don't expect premium-brand service), and with resin remember the printer is only half the kit — washing, curing, gloves and ventilation come separately, whatever the brand.

Who is it for? The price-to-quality reference if you're here to print resin miniatures, and a solid budget-FDM option with the Neptune line. For professional resin with certified materials the step up is Formlabs — at a very different price.
